Description: New Jersey Conservation Foundation needs your help!
Overabundant deer have begun to diminish the ecosystem at the Apshawa preserve located in northern New Jersey. On Sunday, December 11, we are hosting a deer drive to move deer out of a fenced portion of the preserve to continue restoring the natural forest. Experienced hikers needed to VOLUN-DEER for this project.
Terrain: Approximately 3 miles of rugged terrain, stream crossings and steep, rocky areas.
To Wear: Dress in layers, including gloves and hates. Sturdy hiking boots recommended.
To Bring: Small backpack with water, snack.
