Green America Certification

Green America certifies businesses that are committed to using business as a platform for social change. Since 1982, Green America has evaluated over 8,000 small businesses. Green businesses adopt principles, policies and practices that improve the quality of life for their customers, employees, communities, and the planet. The members of the Green Business Network are changing the way America does business.

Getting Certified

1. Join the Green Business Network to get access to the member portal, online certification system, and specify your industry to get a tailored list of best practice standards.

2. Take the company assessment online, which is about 20 to 40 minutes long.

3. Await review and approval from the Green America Certification Team.

4. Once approved, use Green America Certified seal and make use of member benefits to aid your business.

Members have the ability to earn credentials at the Gold level following basic certification. To attain this distinction, contact certification@greenamerica.org to receive a link for an additional assessment. Then work with the Green America Certification Team on any necessary clarifications, and await committee approval of higher level certification.

Fees

Annual dues are required for membership in the Green Business Network, and consequentially to maintain Green America Certification. While the certification assessment is free, the following pricing exists for companies, dependent on number of employees:

–  0 – 5 employees = $130

–  6 – 20 employees = $250

–  21 – 99 employees = $350

–  100 – 250 employees = $1,200

–  Over 250 employees = $2,500
