Emile DeVito has been the manager of science and stewardship at the New Jersey Conservation Foundation for more than a quarter century. With a doctorate in ecology based on research in the Pinelands, he develops plans to protect and manage NJCF’s holdings and their biodiversity. He educates and assists Advisory Commissions, government agencies, non-profits, teachers, and students.
In addition, he serves on the Endangered and Non-Game Species Advisory Committee for NJ Fish and Wildlife, the NJ Invasive Species Council and the Science Advisory Committee of the NY-NJ Trail Conference. He is also a trustee of the Pinelands Preservation Alliance and the NJ Natural Lands Trust.
